Bloom's Taxonomy is a framework that classifies educational objectives and learning outcomes into hierarchical levels of cognitive complexity. Originally developed by Benjamin Bloom, the taxonomy (download here) is often represented as a pyramid with six levels, arranged in ascending order of complexity:
Remembering: Recalling facts, concepts, or information.
Understanding: Comprehending the meaning, interpreting, and explaining concepts.
Applying: Using knowledge in new situations or solving problems.
Analyzing: Breaking down information into parts and understanding the relationships between them.
Evaluating: Making judgments about the value of ideas, methods, or materials.
Creating: Synthesizing information to generate new ideas or products.
